Using the tools
OtterPix is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may process any files you have the right to process. You keep all rights in your own files — we acquire nothing, since we never receive them.
No guarantee of marketplace acceptance
This is the important one. Our marketplace tools check the rules that can be measured from image data: dimensions, aspect ratio, file size, format, transparency, background colour and frame fill.
Marketplaces also enforce rules that no automated tool can evaluate — prohibited text or watermarks, props versus product, category-specific requirements, and editorial judgement applied by human reviewers. Passing every check here does not guarantee a listing will be accepted, and we identify unmeasurable rules explicitly rather than implying they passed.
Marketplace requirements also change without notice. We record a verification date against each specification, but you remain responsible for confirming current requirements with the marketplace itself.
Keep your originals
The tools produce new files and never modify your source images. Even so, keep your originals. Software has bugs, browsers behave differently, and no processing tool should be the only copy of anything you care about.
No warranty
The tools are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of these tools, including lost sales, suppressed listings, or loss of data.

These terms may be updated; the date above will reflect any change.
